Blue Cheese Turkey Burgers With Balsamic Reduction Drizzle

Simply fantastic!!!

6-7 Patties

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 lb ground turkey
  2. 4 oz. block blue cheese, crumbled
  3. 2 T chopped fresh Italian flat leaf parsley
  4. ¼ C white onion chopped finely
  5. ¼ C red pepper chopped finely
  6. 1 large clove of garlic chopped very finely
  7. ½ t grated gingerroot
  8. ¼ t smoked paprika
  9. 1 ½ t kosher salt
  10. ¼ t black pepper
  11. 2 T olive oil + more for prep
  12. Balsamic Reduction for drizzle at time of plating*

METHOD:

  • Combine all ingredients. Form into patties. I moistened my hands with olive oil before forming each patty so the meat doesn’t stick to your palms, and you can create a nice, round burger.
  • Heat a medium sauté pan to high heat, add the 2T oil. Fry the burgers until caramelized on each side and done. Don’t overcook. Turkey becomes hard if cooked too long!
  • Serve with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar reduction and more parsley if desired.

*I purchased a bottle of this. But you can make your own by slowly reducing a good balsamic in a pan on medium heat until it becomes a syrup, about 6+ minutes. Watch it carefully. It burns easily!
