Apple Fig and Raisin Chutney

Makes 1 ½ C


Ingredients:

6 oz. bottled light fig jam
1/2 C golden raisins
1 red delicious apple diced small
1/4 C white onion chopped
Zest from one orange
1/4 C white balsamic sugar
2 T fresh squeezed orange juice
1/8 t ground cloves
1/4 t cinnamon
1/4 t sugar
1/4 t ground nutmeg
1/4 C water
1/4 t kosher salt


Method:

Mix all together with a spoon, except water, in a saucepan and on a slow simmer cook for about 15 minutes adding water about a third of the way through as needed, stirring very often. Serve over pork, chicken, or on sandwiches.
