Sweet Potato and Apple Puree


1 large sweet potato cut into cubes
2 small Fuji apples peeled and cut into cubes
½ t fresh grated nutmeg
1 ½ t kosher salt
½ t black pepper
3 T heavy
2 T salted butter


  • Cover sweet potato and apple with water in a saucepan and boil until soft. Drain water, add all other ingredients and mash with potato masher or use hand blender. Serve.
